Communicating and relating were probably not major responsibilities of your job as an individual contributor. Nevertheless, these factors become increasingly relevant in your role as a leader. In addition to learning people management and trust-building skills, you must overcome emotional labor, perfectionist tendencies, and the impostor syndrome of leadership.
My work aims to help neurodiverse individuals become authentic leaders and help organizations become cognitively inclusive in their DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) strategies so that all employees may benefit from each other's inner geniuses.

As a neurodiverse individual, a licensed therapist, and a certified behavioral specialist for Level 1 ASDs, I am familiar with being a neurodiverse individual living, learning, and leading in a neurotypical world. I am also aware of the importance of balancing compassion and effectiveness.
